Clara’s War

Jonas Chernick.  Adapted from Kathy Kacer’s award-winning novel.

15-year-old Clara is transported from Nazi-occupied Prague to the Jewish ghetto of Terezin where she discovers an underground world of music, art and theatre. And while struggling to survive, she finds hope and transcendence by participating in a rebellious theatrical production – the children’s opera “Brundibar” – whose climactic final production coincides with a daring plan to escape over the prison walls.

Clara’s War was presented at the Belinale Co-Production Market.
