Synopsis:

15-year-old Clara is transported from Nazi-occupied Prague to the Jewish ghetto of Terezin where she discovers an underground world of music, art and theatre. And while struggling to survive, she finds hope and transcendence by participating in a rebellious theatrical production – the children’s opera “Brundibar” – whose climactic final production coincides with a daring plan to escape over the prison walls.

Clara’s War was selected for 2009 Belinale Co-Production Market.
